Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No, a doctors referral is not necessary. Upon arrival at the hospital
a full pre surgical consultation and check up including a complete clinical
examination by the surgeon and the anaesthetist is carried out, as well as x-rays, blood
and urine tests.

Why are surgical treatments so affordable?
The potential price advantage reflects the different health service structures in other countries, which are often based on a more balanced combination of paid-for and state-funded options. Comparative monetary infrastructures and exchange rates also present financially economic advantages.
Can you assist me with my travel arrangements?
Yes, of course. On request, we will be pleased to assist you with any of your
travel arrangements.
Are my travel costs included in the price?
No they are not.
What happens if I decide not to proceed
with my surgical treatment?

If you decide to cancel your surgical treatment prior to your coming
to the hospital, no cancellation fees are charged |

If you cancel your treatment after admission and your pre-surgical check-up, the hospital will refund the total treatment price you have paid at your admission, less the initial deposit and all charges for the time you have spent in hospital, your pre-surgical check-up costs and administrative costs - any travel cost will not be refunded. |
What happens if I leave hospital earlier
than expected?
If you are discharged from the hospital earlier than expected there will
be no refund of your treatment.
Would it be helpful to bring my X-rays
with me?
No, that will not be necessary as the medical team prefers to conduct
its own examinations, X- rays, etc.
Should I inform the surgeon about my medical
history?
Yes, firstly you will be requested to complete a pre-surgery medical questionnaire forwarded to you by the hospital. During your consultation with the surgeon and the anaesthetist, it is important to mention the key points again plus anything you may have omitted from the Pre Surgery Questionnaire.
Will I have the opportunity to ask questions?
Yes of course. The surgeon and anaesthetist are there to listen to you
and answer any question you may have. They will explain everything in
detail that you need to know.
How long must I wait to get my operation?
As soon as you confirm with us your wish to proceed, we will arrange for your surgical treatment with the hospital -- the operation is usually 2 – 4 weeks from receiving your confirmation
What happens when I get to my point of arrival by Air, Sea, Land, Train etc.?
On request, we will arrange for you to be welcomed at your point of arrival and transferred to the hospital.
Can I take a companion or my partner?
Yes. We can arrange hotel bookings for your companion or partner near the hospital. In certain hospitals when a Patient books for an en suite private single bedroom it is possible to arrange for a side bed for the accompanying person, at an additional cost.
Can my companion/partner visit me during
my hospital stay?
Yes, of course. Our hospital partners allow visiting hours every day.
What type of anaesthesia is used?
The anaesthetist will discuss during the pre surgical consultation the
type of anaesthesia used. If you have a type preference you should mention
this to the anaesthetist and surgeon.
What about intensive care units in hospitals?
Each of our hospital partners has a fully equipped intensive care unit
24 hours 7/7 days, immediate response time, served by dedicated medical
personnel.

What do I have to do to book for my operation?
Send an E-mail by ‘clicking’ here or telephone +44(0)1489 564 595 to arrange a suitable date for your operation. You will then receive a confirmation with the necessary documents.
What charges are excluded from the price?
Personal phone calls at the hospital, additional hospital meals and hotel accommodation for relatives or friends and your travel costs to access the hospital.
Methods of payment
A deposit (approx 30% of the total) is required on your confirmation and acceptance of the treatment booked. The outstanding balance is due and payable upon your admission at the hospital. Payments can be made by Credit Card (Visa or Master card) or, in Euros in Cash or, by bank transfer.
(If you use a Visa credit card for your treatment payment, you are advised to notify the CC company that a significant payment is to be made abroad, confirm that you are able use it for payment in the appropriate currency abroad and that adequate funds are available)
What do I need to take?
You need a valid Passport. We strongly recommend that you complete an E111 form, from your local Post Office for you and your partner.
A Patient guide will be sent to you prior to your leaving home. This will give you more information about what to bring with you.
Is it possible to contact patients who
have experienced your services and your hospital partner?
Yes, of course. On request, we will be pleased to provide you with former
patients contact details.
